PlatformZI² Books is open: presses sell direct, readers keep what they buy
A storefront for every imprint, a sealed edition format readers can keep, a reader that runs in any browser, and a ledger that shows every sale as it lands.

What we are building, why, and what publishers and readers keep asking for.
For readersBook of the month: Six Thousand Years
Six thousand years, by the only written account of a witness who was there. Written from the chemist's bench, this book takes Scripture at its word and the laboratory at its measurements, and finds t
2026-11-03PlatformSales reports you can trust, one row per sale
Authors report store dashboards off by half and royalties that land days late. The Live Ledger writes a row the moment a sale clears and never rewrites it.
2026-10-08Why no imprint here is closed without a stated reason
Store accounts get terminated by a content team with accrued royalties withheld and no violation named. Here every hold carries its signals, and an appeal reaches a person.
2026-10-07Keep nine dollars of every ten, and see the other channels beside it
Store royalty bands, delivery fees and wholesale discounts take a third to two thirds of a book's price. Direct sales keep the price minus one share, and the pricing engine shows the difference per copy.
2026-10-06Discoverability starts with metadata, so every title shows its health
Industry data says discoverability is the number one challenge and that metadata reaches systems before it reaches people. Listing health scores the eight fields that matter on every title.
2026-10-05Fake books under your name, and the seal that proves which file is yours
Authors have found machine-written titles sold under their names and copies of their own books relisted by strangers. Every file here is fingerprinted, and the book page shows a verified edition anyone can check.
2026-10-04Selling to churches, schools and groups without an intermediary
Church and curriculum sales can outweigh trade sales, and they need bulk pricing, one checkout and a code for each reader. Seat licenses do that in one order.
2026-10-03Every channel in one ledger: import the reports the stores send you
A press selling in several stores handles a dozen report files a month in a dozen formats. The sales tab reads them by their headers and shows direct plus outside in one line.
2026-10-02What a sealed edition is, byte by byte
A .zi2 file is the book encrypted under an unlock phrase with its cover and figures inside. The layout is published so the file outlives any one site.
2026-10-01One copy, one key: how a sold edition is sealed for its buyer
A shared phrase means one leaked copy is every copy. Each sale here is resealed with its own key, carries the license inside, and stops opening if the license is refunded.
2026-09-30A book you keep: why nothing here can reach into your copy
Readers have had bought books deleted from their devices and the download option removed. A sealed edition is a file on your license page, in a published format, and no server can take it back.
2026-09-29No app to install, no store to stay loyal to
Store formats tie a book to one app and one account. The sealed edition opens in any modern browser, in the Mac, iPhone and Android apps, and in anything built on the published layout.
2026-09-28Your place follows you, and so do your notes
Store readers sync position but keep collections per device and annotations one-way. Here position, preferences, bookmarks, notes and shelves follow the license and the account.
2026-09-27Reading the way your eyes want: the controls in the ZI² reader
Readers complain about sepia that turns text brown, fonts they cannot change and apps that ignore accessibility. The reader has four tuned themes, three fonts including an easy-read mode, and tools for focus and listening.
2026-09-26Open it without typing a phrase: how account unlock works
Logins and phrases are the friction readers quit on. A signed link from the library signs you in for thirty days on that device, and owned books then open with nothing to type.
2026-09-25Shelves that live on your account, not on one device
Collections that only exist on the device that made them are a known failure of store apps. Shelves here belong to the account and group the library everywhere.
2026-09-24Piracy without punishing readers: the trace watermark
Heavy locks make honest readers pay for a few copiers. The ZI² approach keeps reading free of friction and makes a leaked copy traceable instead.
2026-09-23A listed catalog of creation, Flood and design titles, with the presses that sell them
One hundred and forty-nine real titles from eighteen presses are listed under curated imprints with covers, descriptions and purchase links back to the publisher and Amazon.
2026-09-22The audit we ran on our own reader, and what it changed
We attacked the reader the way a copier would. Twelve findings, nine fixed the same day, three stated as open with the next steps.
